Wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle? Enjoy a stay at our 3rd Generation Family Ranch that is located 3 1/2 miles East of Highway 99. We have something for everyone! You can wake up and see cattle and horses on our working ranch. You can walk down our driveway and see the scenery of the Kansas Flinthills. You are a half mile from the Fall River Wildlife Area with its Public Hunting. We are also one mile from the Ladd Bridge where you can drop in your boat and/or Jetski and enjoy access to Fall River Lake.

The Blue Door Cabin

If you want a retreat where you can sleep in, slow down and savor nature's beauty, the Blue Door Cabin, tucked in surprisingly hilly oak and hickory woods, with a beautiful view of the pond, is your destination. Within two hours from Kansas City, Tulsa, Joplin or Wichita, and only 4 miles from Chanute Kansas, this preserved and revived cabin offers an easy getaway for city dwellers in need of a very affordable anniversary weekend, study or solitude retreat, or family hiking and fishing trip.

Evenings can be spent around the firepit, roasting marshmallows (which are complimentary), listening to coyotes howling in the distance or just gazing at the stars! Our furry friends will abide for your attention and will be a constant companion as you stroll down to the creek or up the trail to catch the setting sun. Life is better in the Country!

The 1879 Stone House

This artfully revitalized stone house built on the cusp of the US migration to the west in 1879 is ready to host your Flint Hills Get-A-Way! With 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths the 1879 Stone House will sleep up to 8 guests. This guesthouse is fully furnished and appointed with the latest in modern conveniences and furnishings. Beau’s father “Goodie” built Goodie’s Gravel Get-Away and was his permanent residence for 25 years. You can see a lot of work has went into it. We want you to enjoy it as much as we do. Goodie’s is our home away from home. This is a shop style home on 30 beautiful acres. You will enjoy 2 ponds, a private discgolf course, sand beach, 2 docks, walking trail, fishing, fire pit, and so much more. We are located on the edge of the flint hills which is a must see when staying.
