Uniquely located at the foot of the property is the Great River State Trail which connects 101 miles of state bicycle trails, access to the 120-acre ecologically diverse Wittenberg Marsh, the Onalaska Spillway, the Black and Mississippi Rivers, and Lake Onalaska. There is a train that goes by, most people aren’t bothered by it.

Relax into the slower pace of river life. We are located on a laid back street where everyone is ready with a friendly wave or a driveway chat. The boat landing is just a mile away. The house is stylish and comfortable. We hope to provide our guest with whatever the need for a few days away. We are in a high PFAs area so bottled water is provided for guest consumption. The place gives you a cabin feel close to La Crosse! 15 minute drive to downtown La Crosse and 3 miles North of Stoddard puts you in a great central location for the area. Mt. La Crosse is super close to enjoy skiing/snowboarding. Goose Island is 5 minutes away. Great spot for bird watching, fishing, kayaking, boat launches, hiking or frisbee golf. Pets are welcome. This guest room is next door to our restaurant, Red Pines Bar & Grill so a stay here means access to a full-service restaurant & bar, volleyball courts, the lake and great people. We are always available if you need anything during your stay. We also have our Red Pines Cafe open 7:30 am seven days a week when the main restaurant is closed. There are 5 other rooms in Red Pines Lodging so the space is basically a hotel with your own private access.

La Crosse On the Mississippi (Netzer’s Landing)

We are on The Mighty Mississippi River. Your backyard. You can sit on your porch, shade deck, sun deck or walk out to the dock and enjoy your morning brew. In the evening you can sit out on the dock and view a beautiful sunset. Eagles are visitors to the area, as well as Great Blue Herons, river otters, muskrats, and varieties of ducks. This is truly a place for those who love to be on water. When the day is done come in to your home away from home. (Cleaning fees included.)

There are fishing boat rentals nearby or you can fish from the shore while enjoying Lake Onalaska's famous sunsets. No cleaning fee!
