This was our second trip to The Rocky Whale in the last six months. We love it here. For us, the location is incredible. We spend as much time on the beach possible and being able to cross the street to the dune path and be at the ocean in less than 5 minutes is incredible. Low-tide tide pools? Check. Entire groups of seals? Check. Eagles? Check. Milky Way on a clear night? Also check! We are grateful for the ability to bring our dogs and the big open space downstairs to be able to house their crates. The bed/bath/kitchen has always been clean and comfortable and when the storms come through being able to hang out in the big living space upstairs and keep ourselves entertained (tv… storm… games.. etc) has come in handy. The kitchen is well appointed. We eat in when we stay here and there is nothing we haven’t been able to handle (sometimes a little improvisation is needed!) We were never able to find the tv remote on our second trip… but there is an app for that.

We enjoyed our stay at Janell's place, it is 5 minutes or less from the beach and has beautiful views right from the windows. The house is extremely clean and well-furnished and the neighborhood is quiet and walkable. We went to Rockaway which is about 5 minutes away by car - Tillamook is about 10 minutes away also, so there is plenty to do if you want to check out a city, see stores and restaurants, grab a drink etc. We are nature people but we also like to see local cities. The weather gods graced us with perfect spring days and it was a relaxing and refreshing stay. Thank you!

Great little house on the beach. Very clean, updated but still has the vintage vibe. Beach access from the home is down the large rip rap Boulder wall, it was easy for us agile folks and our 3 yo navigated it well. Beautiful views from the porch and large picture windows. Great for 4 adults and 1 child. Thanks for hosting!

Carol was an amazing host, very responsive and offered early check-in! The home was super comfy and housed our 8 woman book club well. Really loved the quiet, the hot tub, and the short walk onto the beach. Would definitely stay again!!

Terri’s beach house was across the highway from the beach. It was very easy to walk to a beautiful beach location. There were shops and other amenities within walking distance. The house was very clean and well appointed. We were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner using all necessary and available cooking equipment! The house has a lot of stairs, so it was a little challenging for my elderly parents. The bonus room was great for my kids who are both in college, but be aware that this room is in the back of the garage and not close to a bathroom. The primary bedroom was beautiful!

We cannot describe how memorable our experience was! The Airbnb is perfect. This is by far the best view we’ve had. We got engaged in this city and the house was exactly what we needed to make it special! Anissa is the best Airbnb host we’ve had. She helped with everything to make the occasion special and provided a lot of local recommendations and a lots of goodies! Helped us with Dinner reservations too! We will come back again for sure!

The house was absolutely lovely! Clean and had everything we needed. The street traffic is a little noisy throughout the night and there isn’t an ocean view. But it is only a few minutes walk to the beach and you can still hear the waves from the house. The host is also fantastic! She made sure everything went smoothly for us. Thank you!

Lovely place, well equipped and a short walk to a fabulous beach. We had a very pleasant night here and enjoyed sitting on the sunny porch with our dinner!

We have previously stayed in Jane's unit. The view and access to the beach are unbeatable. We love walking for coffee and delicious food in Nye Beach. It's also easy to make meals in the kitchen. This unit has no steps/stairs which makes for easy access. Jane is very responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

Our stay at Matthew’s was lovely. Olivia beach is a great area and we had a great time hiking God’s thumb!

This is a great space to explore the Oregon coast from. The unit is beautifully finished and has an incredible view of the ocean. The bed was very comfy, lots of water pressure and heat in the shower and the kitchen has everything you need to settle in for a relaxing time at the beach. I just left and can’t wait to go back. The 115 (not we counted :)) steps to the beach puts the ocean minutes away and if you’re less adventurous on the way back, take the long way through the village and stop for an easy dinner at the chowder bowl (easy food and great service / atmosphere). The hosts were very helpful throughout the stay and made sure the place was clean and well appointed. If you’re ever dreamed of having a place at the beach, I’d bet this is pretty much what you had in mind. You’ll have an awesome stay!

This is a great place, I’ve stayed twice. Love the onsite parking, hot tub on the balcony, kitchen with everything needed. It’s very close walk to the beach, about a block away. Activity room only has a pool table and TV, would be cool to see another pool table or shuffle board added.

Stay was enjoyable and comfortable, Hot tub was great. After walk on beach and so was the fire place. Didn't find any floats on the beach, might have come try again. Thanks for all the great communication Tim.

Very nice little place; exactly as advertised. Great location, very close to Nye beach, restaurants and shops. Amazing view! My wife and had mentioned we should get a pair of binoculars to take but we didn’t. When we arrived, we found a pair of binoculars on the table at the window that overlooked the beach and ocean. A very nice touch! Great bed and mattress. We slept very comfortably. The ceiling fan was great. The kitchen had more than we needed. The shower was great. Great Roku tv, which is easy to use. Nice couch and pillows. Good WiFi. Nicely decorated. They’ve really maximized the space nicely. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a small, but classy place on the beach.

House was beautiful, tidy, nicely decorated and clean. Carriage house was fun for the kids. Absolutely adorable community. But all houses are very close together. Beach was not accessible for elderly or unfit people as it was quite a walk with inclines and many stairs. Nice park close by.

The condo was everything that was listed and more. It was nice to have the little extras in the kitchen, like coffee, spices, working appliances, extra food if needed. It was also nice to have extras like phone cables, laundry soap, dryer sheets and soap and shampoo in the showers. I would recomend the condo to everyone looking for a place in Newport. Leslie

This home provided a perfect space to enjoy a weekend at the beach. The living space is comfortable, modern, and suits the surroundings. It was great to enjoy the sound of the ocean from the couch (as well as the hot tub). Everything is available within a short drive - Great food, grocery, etc.

We had a wonderful time, the beach access is unmatched, endless entertainment for the kids. Compared to most airbnb’s, very clean, comfortable beds, and also appreciated the amenities. Host was nice enough to accommodate check in time too. Would definitely stay again in the future, highly recommend!

My friends and I visited from Portland for the weekend, and we had a wonderful time at Max's place! The location is fantastic - easy to find and a quick two minute walk to the beach - and the house itself is charming and cozy. The fireplace was a hit, especially in the chilly evenings or after taking a dip in the freezing ocean. It warmed up the top level and we were comfortable the whole time. Check in was easy, there was plenty of space for our party of four, and we loved it. I absolutely recommend staying at Max's place!

If you are looking for a place to stay along the Oregon Coast- this is it! Breathtaking view of Oceanside Beach and located such that you are short drives from all the Tillamook area has to offer-scenic drives, the Three Capes, fantastic hiking, and don't miss Tunnel Beach (at low tide) one mile away! Beds were comfy, super clean and a well stocked kitchen (extra points for that!) Make sure you read Chrystie's description about the hike to the beach-it is a hike- but we loved it! Grateful for a great weekend with friends at Captains Quarters.

Had a great stay at Dee’s place for Easter with family from Wisconsin. Cozy home with breathtaking views.

We had such a wonderful annual girls weekend at the coast. Wonderful view from most of the house. Easy access to the beach. The house was beautiful with everything we could have wanted in a home.
