Nannerth Ganol, artists retreat cottage

Nannerth Ganol is an old 16th Century farm. On our site we have The Cottage, main Longhouse with large garden and workspace for creatives. Our accommodation is busy with cyclists, walkers and music and media workers. Head into the Elan Valley and surrounding area directly from our location. It hosts people from the music industry who have come here to write/record . We are very isolated , so perfect if you want to get away from everything. You can relax/create or go explore. I also do food.

The first town on the River Seven and the gateway to the Cambrian Mountains of mid Wales. Our accomadation also has the benefit of small back garden with seating so you can relax & unwind. Llanidloes has a good variety of pubs and eateries , so what ever you fancy you will easily find something that suits, all within a stones throw of our accomadation.

St Mark's School

Relax and unwind in this beautiful converted 1880s school. Plenty of original school features are still on display. Situated 15mins drive from the royal Welsh show ground in Builth, 15mins from Rhayader and the Elan Valley, 15mins from Spa town Llandrindod wells, just over an hour to Aberystwyth and west coast beaches, it is the ideal location! The house sits on the edge of a forestry leading up a hill with stunning views and lots of dog friendly walks/bike rides. Ideal for fishing in the Wye!

Nestled in the Welsh countryside, just into the Cambrian Mountains, it enjoys the splendour of nature and peaceful calm of times past. With its own garden, this former shepherd's cottage is surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape at the very end of a single-track road.

We have numerous walks on our doorstep, a 3 minute stroll to the River Severn and are a stone's throw from Llandinam Gravels Nature Reserve. We are also approximately 1 mile away from Plas Dinam Country House. It has a fully equipped kitchen, king size bed and large comfortable chairs - perfect for a short break or longer holiday. Dolfan Barn Studio is so named because an artist once worked here, prior to that it was a cow byre. Just under a mile out of the village of Beulah the Studio is a perfect place to unwind. You will find plenty of wildlife to watch from the patio including Pheasants Squirrels and Red Kites. The village has a service station, shop and "The Trout Cafe" serving good home cooked food. A converted railway goods wagon (c.1900), rustic and simple, with stunning view over our organic farm and uninhabited valleys beyond. Basic kitchen - Loos and showers in the farmyard or own compost loo alongside. This farm is host to a community of volunteers from all over the world and you will be welcome to get involved in our way of life - close to land and seasons, or enjoy seclusion in a place that radiates peace and vitality with unpolluted night skies.
