The Lodge was way above expectations despite the great reviews it already had. We were 6 adults & 2 young children- the bedrooms were perfect, roomy with ensuites- a real treat. The upstairs lounge was a kids dream with the Wendy house & sooo many toys. The Christmas tree was a fabulous bonus & made our celebrations perfect. The hot tub was brilliant & well used by us all- it was great knowing how clean & well maintained it was. The Lodge itself we could not fault. The resort itself is somewhat tired & in need of a bit of tlc. Understandably mid winter not all activities were available & we expected this but did feel that the pool facilities which we used needed maintenance. We did not expect the bar staff to be too inebriated to serve us the one evening we decided to pop up to the bar!! Other than that top marks - a long awaited family holiday that we will remember with joy. The only let down was the non-return of a left behind item that should have been easily located.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Hewas Water House. The house was beautiful and catered for all of our needs for a group of 10 for a family members 70th birthday. The games room provided so much entertainment for all (from 2 to 70 years old) and the hot tub a much needed retreat by the time the kids went to sleep. Communication was great with anything we needed to get in touch for. Would definitely recommend

The lodge was in a beautiful setting, perfect for families, a lovely safe environment. The accommodation itself was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean, the bathrooms were lovely, with towels and toiletries included. Upstairs was particularly spacious with amazing views. The hosts kindly provided us with initial provisions, like tea and coffee. It’s a great base to explore the surrounding area, and a lovely space to return to. I would definitely recommend this beautiful holiday home, and would return with my family.

We’re so glad we chose to stay at Halula Beach House for my hen do weekend, it was the perfect pad! Pool, hot tub, silent disco, huge table we could all sit round… and just a few minutes walk to the gorgeous beach. Would highly recommend it!

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

We had a wonderful stay at Charlotte's place- it was perfect for our family get together to celebrate my father's birthday. The lodge was exactly as described and suited our group perfectly. It's amazing how spacious it is- like a tardis! Charlotte herself was very accommodating and gave us fabulous local recommendations- the fish and chips at TJ's in Polzeath is not to be missed! We also had a great day out in Padstow and loved the pasties! We made the most of the facilities at the resort, including the pool and pitch and putt, with our only criticism being that the tennis courts are in dire need of repair- we tried to play but there's so much loose gravel and you can't see the lines! This is down to Hengar Manor itself of course, so hopefully this does get looked at! There is a very small playground, which we made use of! Having an EV charger on site was so handy and made our stay even more convenient. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Charlotte's lodge and hope to return some day.

Great location for a lovely relaxing few days on the south coast, Cornwall has my heart, especially when the sun is shining! Melanie's instructions and recommendations for places to eat were great. Falmouth is just an our walk up the coast, lovely place to mooch about with great shops. Would recommend and happily come and stay here again

We stayed at Neil's place in Newquay, Cornwall, and it was absolutely fantastic! Initially, we spoke to Neil, but Steve, the manager, took over and made the process seamless. We booked this last-minute stay on New Year’s Eve for the same night, and they were incredibly accommodating to make it happen for us. The apartment was pristine, luxurious, and in an amazing location with stunning views. Watching the NYE fireworks over the harbour from our balcony was such a special treat. It truly felt like a home away from home. We usually stay in Perranporth, but this place has now become our new favourite. It completely trumps our previous go-to! We can’t wait to come back again and highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks so much, Neil and Steve, for making this New Year’s our best in a long time! Craig

A fantastic place to stay beautiful property, spotlessly clean and brilliant amenities. Everyone was super friendly and helpful with any queries. Location is perfect for the beautiful beach and village. Our family had the most amazing holiday and highly recommend a stay at Bassets Acre.

If you’re looking for a peaceful comfortable retreat by the sea, Nicola’s flat is the place for you Beautifully decorated, with a well equipped kitchen, super comfortable bed, a lovely view of the bay and quiet peaceful surroundings, I cannot recommend it highly enough Add to that the little touches like motion sensor night lights, binoculars for guests use , plenty of handy plugs for working and a thoughtful 2 litre bottle of milk in the fridge on arrival . Free to use ( with arrangement - the pool and gym in the hotel next door , and great communication from Nicola . Would definitely stay again .

We’ve just got back from a wonderful week at Nicki’s beautiful apartment. The views were incredible! Our boys loved watching the sea tractor going back and forth from Burgh Island, and letting us know when the tide was out and the Beach Barista was there! There was something incredibly magical looking out to Burgh Island, and we miss those views already! The apartment was beautifully presented and furnished to a very high standard. The whole set up is fantastic, and it was an added bonus to have dedicated use of the pool, gym and Deck restaurant. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous home with us. We’d love to return! Absolutely beautiful apartment, with everything we needed. It was very clean and well-maintained. Wonderful views of the sea and Porth beach- this was the best bit. The beach is just over the road, and icecream and pub just a few minutes walk. A really lovely place xx

We had a brilliant family holiday here in Oct half term. Brilliant location so close to the beach and the costal paths, very convenient for Falmouth. The pool, sauna and hot tub are great and the kids had the best time. The apartment is compact but had everything we needed. Melanie gave lots of useful info before we arrived. We will be coming back.

Great, comfy and clean space. Used as a weekend hub to explore Cornwall and was perfect for us. Walking distance to Falmouth and Pendennis point was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for more! Flat was modern and to a very high standard.
