Renta de bed and breakfasts vacacionales en Polonnaruwa

These treehouses were one of the many highlights of my Sri Lanka adventure. My porch had a perfect view of Sigiriya rock. I saw chipmunks, monkeys, peacocks, monitor lizards, and a lot more wildlife in my weekend here. Amazing hospitality and local tips along with great food and cocktails were the icing on the cake for this trip. I look forward to coming back on my next trip!

What an amazing hidden gem. Our hosts could not do enough for us and we stayed an extra day. They organised a tuk tuk tour that included Sigiriya and Dambulla and other local beauty spots and also a safari to nearby Hurulu Eco Park where we saw lots of elephant. The house location is perfect overlooking the lake. We stopped at a restaurant that provided Take Away for our dinner and breakfast was provided. Would love to return but hope others have as much enjoyment as we did and 100% recommend.

Binara ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der uns jeden unserer Wünsche erfüllt hat: er hat uns einen unvergesslichen Ausflug auf die Vogelinsel vermittelt, uns zum Treffpunkt gefahren und uns wieder abgeholt, er hat uns Fahrräder für den Ausflug in die Tempel-Stadt zu einem sehr günstigen Preis vermietet und uns kurzfristig einen Fahrer an die Ostküste vermittelt, weil unserer abgesprungen war. Die ganze Familie ist total sympathisch, das Essen köstlich, die Zimmer wunderbar. Vom Balkon aus morgens den Tag erwachen zu sehen und in den ruhigen Garten voller Palmen zu blicken, ist eine wunderbare Erfahrung. Für die Unterkunft gibt es eine 100 % ige Empfehlung von uns.

The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. There was hot water and mosquito net. The family was nice with me and their kid took me on a walk. Really good advices and help to organise visits if it was needed (he organised a tuktuk to take me to the sunrise hike in Pidurangala). They also have a restaurant in which they prepare amazing food. Therefore, I really recommend this homestay because on top of that is super cheap!! Thanks for everything

The pictures do not lie! That is your view during breakfast and arrival juice. The host gladly hooked us up with an amazing private safari. Nipuna the driver for our safari made this one of our favorite stops during this trip. So many lovely memories. Book it now! Stop looking at other places and book this one! You will not be disappointed.

Amith’s place was the perfect sanctuary after a long hike. It has a private pool and also an incredible lush veranda. We were greeted with fresh juice when we arrived which was lovely and the breakfast the next day was perfect! It was also located conveniently near a strip of restaurants where we had dinner in the evening. On top of it all Amith was such a great host, super helpful and kind with a lovely family.

Our stay in Malaka's place was amazing. Malaka and Indica are super friendly and will attend your every need. Breakfast was amazing and always prepared at the time you want. we stayed 2 nights to go to Sigiryia Rock and the placement of the house was perfect for that. Lots of restaurants on walking distance!

Wir wurden in Habarana mit dem Tuc Tuc abgeholt. Wir haben 4 Nächte dort verbracht und uns von Anfang an wohl gefühlt. Vom Balkon aus hat man hat das Gefühl alleine mitten im Wald zu sein, obwohl das nächste Haus nicht weit entfernt steht. Das Konzert des Waldes bei Sonnenaufgang ist unbeschreiblich! Nur für Naturliebhaber geeignet! Gutes Moskito Netz vorhanden. Open Air Dusche im Wald . Die sehr einfache Küche von Marlons Frau kann mit benutzt werden. Wenn die beiden vor Ort sind, können sie auf Wunsch Frühstück und Abendessen zubereiten. Ansonsten ist Selbstversorgung angesagt (ausser die Nachbarn bringen etwas vorbei). Trinkwasser sollte immer genügend mitgebracht werde. Channa und seine Frau schauen auf die Unterkunft, wenn Marlon nicht vor Ort ist, sie sind super freundlich! Channa macht auch Safaris im angrenzenden Nationalpark. Marlon und seine Frau sind extrem herzlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Sie haben viel zu erzählen und es ist sehr interessant mit ihnen zu sprechen.

We had the most wonderful stay at Shen Residence in Sigiriya. Shen and his sister Hansi are such kind, thoughtful hosts — they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They helped us organise all our excursions and even arranged a TukTuk driver so we could get around easily. What made the stay extra special was that it was my partner’s birthday, and they surprised us with a birthday cake, such a thoughtful gesture we’ll never forget. The place itself is beautiful and peaceful, but it was their warmth and hospitality that truly made it unforgettable. We genuinely can’t recommend Shen Residence enough!
