A bright, spacious cottage close to Ullswater.

Lakeway is a beautiful, cottage on the fringe of the Lake District National Park. It is situated 2.5 miles from Pooley bridge and is a 5 minute walk from the quaint village of Tirril, which has its own Country Pub. You can walk the Eamont Way to Pooley Bridge or hop on the bus from Tirril. Lakeway has 4 double bedrooms, the master bedroom is ensuite and there is a large living / dining area which has plenty of room to relax with friends or family. The enclosed gardens provide plenty of space

Garden Flat, Ullswater: Fabulous views and reviews

Stunning views of Ullswater... Very special... Perfect... Well equipped... Spotless and clean... Fantastic host... No picture of our panoramic view can really do justice to The Garden Flat. But we hope those words from our most recent reviews do. The flat is in an elevated 19th century former hunting lodge. The Ullswater Way walking route is at the end of the drive. Down the hill is the Brackenrigg Inn, with its own microbrewery, and Another Place, with lake swimming and spa facilities.

The Bothy is a small snug barn conversion adjoining our home close to Ullswater The living accommodation on the ground floor is open plan and has green electric heating and a wood burning stove in a sandstone inglenook, a wooden staircase leads to a bedroom with ensuite facilities. Light and airy and warm in winter. * Marmalade Festival at nearby Dalemain House 25 April 2026, Alzheimers Trek 26 from Dalemain on 4 July 2026 * Potfest in the Park at Hutton in the Forest 24 - 26 July

It is perfect for couples and single travellers looking to explore the Lake District - being only 3 miles from Lake Ullswater you'll find plenty of things to see and do. Fair warning - being above a busy pub there can be some noise heard from the pub below. Current pub opening times: Monday - closed Tuesday to Saturday - 12pm to 10pm Sunday 12pm to 5.30pm
