Beautiful native trees and birdsong surround your own peaceful, private, and quiet cottage and gardens. We have a star gazing area where you will be awed by the clear sky and see the Milky Way and all the constellations. Our Retreat Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, including a 3 pin EV charging port. Your hosts, Drew and Sally, will meet you and show you around their small farm including cows, chickens and native birds, and browse the large vegetable gardens and orchard.

A Country Garden Cottage

This self-contained studio with veranda is set in beautiful gardens in the rural village of Peel Forest, opposite the hall. Private, quiet, tastefully decorated. Living/sleeping are combined in an L shaped room. There is a separate kitchenette (basic food preparation/microwave/small electric frypan) and bathroom. Sleeping options - a queen size bed or 2 single beds. SINGLE BEDS MUST BE REQUESTED WHEN BOOKING. Bush walks nearby. Parking. Continental breakfast. Nearest town is Geraldine, 19kms.

The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Timms Cottage is a rustic farm cottage and allows you to relax with an indoor outdoor space giving you breath taking views of Mt Dobson, Fox Peak and our farm. The cottage is situated behind the family homestead within our garden on our farm, providing a peaceful and private setting. We are a working farm. We are 10 km from Fairlie which has some great eating places, 3 km from Lake Opuha and half an hour from Mount Dobson and Fox Peak. Tekapo and Geraldine are only half an hour away.

This apartment is situated 5 minutes off Inland Scenic Route 72 and less than 20 minutes from the friendly farming village of Geraldine. Use the apartment as a launch pad to local activities in Peel Forest (horse treks and bush walks), Lake Tekapo (ice skating, snow tubing, day spa and hot pools), Mt Cook (beautiful scenic walks and helicopter rides), or just a place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of town. We are a working farm running cattle, chickens and 1 dog.

Explore early history, try your hand at tramping, fishing, skiing, boating & golf the area offers. Strict 2 guest policy, do not bring extra guests. We live next door.

Our place is great for couples. On navman route, we are 2 hours from Christchurch and 4 hours to Queenstown. Only 1 hour from Mt Hutt ski field and 1 hour from Mt Dobson ski field. Aoraki Mount Cook is 2 hours distance and Tekapo is 1 hour.
