Really good and affordable Indian place nearby, they do take-out (and you even get 10% off). It's one of my go-to places for a delicious dinner.

My favorite coffee shop in Oslo. They have a great selection of beans and tea (if you're a tea person like me, try the oolong!) The mid-century modern decor makes it a really cozy place to sit. Seating is limited so you will have to be friendly and share a space with others! It also turns into a cocktail bar at night!

Another seriously good brew in Oslo. For a city of its size, Oslo sure doesn't have a shortage of great coffee spots. They mostly source from Norwegian roasters if you're up for trying some local flavor.

I always drop by this place when I'm passing for a super affordable dinner. It's basically a stir-fry bar and you can choose your own ingredients to make a stir fry. I love their red Thai curry sauce - it's the best! You can sit in or take away!

Since eating out is rather expensive in Oslo, Lille Saigon 1 is a real godsend. For those on a budget, you can't possibly get better value for money than this place. I'm a huge fan of Vietnamese food, and they are definitely serving up the best in Oslo. Great for vegetarians as well!

For some high quality Norwegian fare that won't break the bank, drop in for the daily special at Smalhans. You definitely won't be disappointed.

Drinks & Nightlife

If you're into hipster bars, look no further. Babylon carries a wide selection of local sour beers (it's their thing) and if you're really lucky the sushi chef will have time to whip up something special for you. Definitely one of the best sushi places that I've tried in Oslo - but be prepared to wait for your rolls.

Arts & Culture

Hands down my favorite museum in Oslo. The location and the architecture of the building is sublime, and the museum has a very concise and curated collection with some big names like Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, and Cindy Sherman but also many lesser known Norwegian artists as well. Don't forget to stop by the cafe, Vingen, for a really good cup of coffee and an amazing view.

If you're looking for an incredible view of the whole city, and you kinda want to visit what is essentially a Norwegian Monument to skiing.

Parks & Nature

Go off the beaten path: If you like to enjoy the outdoors and also see some art, make your way to Ekebergparken, built by a wealthy Norwegian to exhibit his personal art collection - with pieces from Dali, Rodin & Renior. You also get stunning views of the city from this park without running into all the tourists.

If you're a runner and want to clock in some miles on your trip, look no further than the hiking trails of Songsvann for a idyllic Sunday morning run. Even if you're not a runner - head north to Songsvann to beat the tourists and breath in the fresh Norwegian air by taking a stroll around the lake!

Entertainment & Activities

I'm a huge movie fan so you can always find me here catching the latest releases on the big screen. This is hands down the nicest movie theater in Oslo - you can even get wine with your movie!
