This sweet, old building is on the road in from the highway to the house. We always stopped here to pick up milk and goodies when we came to Brewster when I was a child. Friendly service and yummy sandwiches.

There is a walk-up counter at this fish market where you can get fresh raw and cooked shellfish and other delights from the sea. For a real treat get some boiled, shelled lobster meat by the pound and sit at the end of the pier. You can picnic like a mermaid, while chatting with the friendly seals that are likely to greet you, especially if you toss them a chunk of your lobster!

The Salt Pond Visitor Center offers insight into the local flora and fauna and offers insight into how climate change affects this area. There are also beautiful hiking trails though the woods from the visitor center (with lots of parking) to Coastguard Beach.
