A charming midieval town situated by the sea. Take a stroll through the city by foot. You need at least a day or two to really find your favorite spots.
One of the most beautiful view of the city is from the back of the church. You go up the stairs on the hill and you will have a view of the sea and the city under. Go there at sunset. You will remember the scene for the rest of your life.
Visby has many cafés and restaurants which have a lot to offer. The high standard of the restaurants and cafés are one of the reasons why Swedes love to come to Gotland.
You can also find many charming shops along the narrow roads inside the wall.
If you are a Japanese Anime fan of Studio Ghiburi, you can book a Kiki's Tour which will guide you to all the places that inspired Hayao Miyazaki to make the film. This is a tour by foot that lasts about 2 hours. You will get a overveiw of the city with the tour as well.

This is actually an activity. You can go on the nostalgic locomotives or rent a trolley. To ride on a trolley is an amazing experience! I went on the trolley with my husband and friends and we felt like we were kids again and we are all 60+ years old! The locomotives are beautifully kept by an association and they really maintain the rails and the trains beautifully so it's worth going on a nostalgic trip!

I went on the trolley with my husband and friends and we felt like we were kids again and we are all 60+ years old! I like to hang out at this place where it's quiet and right by the sea. You walk straight passing by the restaurant where you order on your left. Then go into the left side seating area where there are places to sit right by the ocean. It's more quiet in this area compared to the right side seating areas.
Save your favorite spot and then go and get your food and drinks! It's a bit pricy but the food is usually good!

Café Mirells at Adelsgatan 3 in Visby's Old Town. This is the best vegan café restaurant in the world! Especially her Vietnamese noodle salad is her signature meal on the menu! It's all good including her husband's sweets! Healthy and Tasty and beautiful too! Definitely my favorite place to go to eat and have a nice cup of coffee or tea.
