Great preservation efforts led to this WW2 battleship being “saved” from the scrap metal yards, & most recently great local architect (& artist) Chip Hemmingway designed the new perimeter wooden walkway around it! The deck, as well as the exterior painting, they have all been redone! Very much under-rated & shrugged off by some, yeah, BUT the closer you get, the better!! It's so easy to get to (Recommend doing by the little blue ferry boats at the foot of Market St just 2 blocks south). Or drive the 5 mins over there! Either way, If your time permits, do not leave this ofc the list. You can even walk around the exterior dock & grounds for free!! And even 30 mins is enough, if time is limited! *Just Do It!
