Neighbourhoods

Forest Hill can be accessed in roughly 20 mins from the house. The homes are stunning, some new and some in their original state. The neighbourhood is large and very walkable, definitely worth seeing. Forest Hill Village is located within and you can stop to get a coffee, ice cream at the Village Chill, a bite or even some groceries at The Kitchen Table.

Yorkville is a top destination for affluent shoppers at its high-end boutiques, galleries and design studios, especially on Bloor Street's "Mink Mile." The area features chic cafes, polished bars and fine-dining restaurants. Its posh hotels host Hollywood insiders during the Toronto International Film Festival. Side streets are lined with picture-postcard Victorian homes with ornamental gardens.

Walking Paths

The Beltline Trail is a nine-kilometre path where walkers, joggers, and bikers can traverse the city from west to east, weaving in and out of neighbourhoods along midtown Toronto. The last third of the Kay Gardner Beltline Trail is marked by the Yonge Street Bridge, which also passes over the Davisville Subway Yard, which is down the street. Highly recommend walking, running or biking some of this tree-lined path.

Consejos para la ciudad

Cómo moverse

Public Transit is the best way to get around

Yonge line subway access is a 6 min walk N to Eglinton Station, or a 6 min walk S to Davisville Station. This line will connect you to all other subway lines. You will need to purchase a Presto card and load it with funds to access use. You can get these online in advance or at the stations - you will see large green or black presto machines. https://www.prestocard.ca/en

Toronto Restaurants

The Toronto food scene is fantastic and not to be missed. While there are many local restaurants and bars, I recommend exploring the city and seeing what there is to be offered. That said, unless you're planning on going to eat at an off time, I do recommend always trying to book a reservation in advance via open table, bookenda or via the spot directly.
