Pies & Pints although a chain restaurant now, got its start here in Fayetteville. Their pizza toppings can be a bit unusual, but are carefully crafted and unlike most pizza you’ve probably tasted. Definitely best restaurant in town! The Street Corn pie is amazing!

Long point provides a very unique position in the gorge. It’s like a peninsula in the gorge. The view of the bridge is unrivaled and provides a nice longer hike.

Thurmond is a very small town with a population that I believe is in the single digits. Once a bustling rail town during the height of coal production, it’s now a very scenic and quaint little town nestled at the bottom of the gorge.
