Exploring Around Puerta del Mar
Neighborhoods
Puerta Del Mar is divided into 3 Phases – our house is in Phase I. All of the phases are connected and you can walk in all three. There are paths along the ocean. If you want to walk with in the community to begin go to our guard gate and take the sidewalk to the south across the gorge to begin.
The beach below us is nice and exclusive. Only residents of Puerta Del Mar have access. It is fun for surfing & boogie boarding or just relaxing with a book.
In Phase III (two driveways to the south) is our Club House. It has a pool and Jacuzzi and is open to members. Just give them your name. If you would like the spa heated tell them in advance the time you would like and the office personnel or the guard at the gate will make sure it is heated.
Phase III also has a tennis court and basketball court. If you need lights, just inform the clubhouse.
*Due to COVID-19, the Club House amenities are currently through reservation. Ask the guards at the gate to request.*

Get an early start as the wineries usually close by 4pm or 5pm. Some of the smaller wineries require reservations so call ahead and plan your day. Also, Sunday’s are family day in Mexico and many wineries might not be open.

Ensenada is a port city on the Pacific coast of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. At its heart is the harbor and waterfront area with the Malecón promenade. It's a great cultural town south of our place about 45 minutes along the coast.
