Most people associate Pokolbin with Hunter Valley wineries. Well they don’t know what they’re missing in Broke. Broke has some absolutely fine unique wineries. I recommend you stay local while you’re staying at Colney Cottage and experience the beautiful wineries around Broke,
Krinklewood is a beautiful organic winery just a 7 minute drive away. Definitely worth a visit and highly recommend sharing a cheese platter and bottle of Rose in the gorgeous courtyard.

Margan is just a 3 minute drive away from Colney Cottage. It’s a must for wine lovers and I recommend you treat yourself to a bottle of Verdehlo. The restaurant has a fabulous menu and prides itself on using its own harvest and other local quality produce. Bookings are essential.

Winmark Wines is a well established local winery and since 2016 has concentrated on producing only Chardonnay. My memories of Chardonnay from the 1990’s were not great, but Winmark has completely changed my perception. I highly recommend you try for yourselves. Winmark also has a 7 day per week coffee cart and is set against the beauty of Yellow Rock. Winmark has a wonderful art gallery and several sculptures are set amongst the beautiful grounds.
