Morrow’s is a well known local black owned restaurant specializing in Cajun cuisine. They stay pretty busy so it’s best to make a reservation or get there when they open. The food is pretty good, but service can be slow. If they’re not too busy, I would give them a chance. If they’re pretty busy with a wait, I would recommend eating elsewhere. 🤷🏾♀️

This place is only 5 minutes away on St. Claude Ave. The food is fantastic! The mango tea is SWEET, but tasty. And the OXTAILS….bruh. 🤤 Definitely check this place out! Now look, the prices are $$$, but the plates are HEAVY. You can literally eat off one plate 2-3 times. So maybe split plates with friend’s if y’all ballin on a budget and don’t mind sharing. 💁🏾♀️

This eclectic laid back spot sits at the corner of Burgundy & Mandeville St. It’s only a 5 minute drive away! A great way to start the day with their signature breakfast dishes and a nice hot cup of coffee. Their signature coffee drinks are made pretty strong, so heads up if you’re a lightweight.
