A lovely drive up to Matakana to see the Farmers Market with live bands playing and lots of street food with an amasing view of the river passing through the village.Amazing vibe and atmosphere. But be up early to make it up there just as they open. A lot of people travel far and wide to visit at the weekend so car parking can be hard. But so worth the drive and only an hours drive north.

Grab an ice cream or a coffee ( or Both!) and do the Kiwi thing have a stroll down Takapuna beach with the view of Rangitoto infront of you. You never know, you may bump into Lorde!
