Drinks & Nightlife

Newquay is much more the family resort now, and its hedonistic days are over. However, most of us do love a party everyone now and then! There's several live music venues and plenty of festivals throughout the year.
If you are in the area, this is a fantastic historic pub to visit. Full of charm and stories of smuggling right on the edge of the river with a little pontoon...it's lovely. Great sunday lunch

This place is my all time favorite and I often run there after dropping the kids to school. Take signs to treago farm campsite and follow the road all the way down through the gate at the bottom, where you'll find a national trust car park on the common. Follow the path to the beach or walk the coast path with its stunning views. A great place to spot seals in winter and escape the summer crowds.
