My favorite restaurant is Boccaporta
The restaurant Boccaporta is a 5 minute walk from our house and has great local food.
If you're looking for fine Istrian food in a homely atmosphere, this tavern meets all parameters - and that's why you'll want to come back again and again. Since I'm more inclined to go on gastro-eno expeditions around the interior of Istria, whose charming hills I can never get enough of, I didn't have a go-to place in Pula that I'm sure I'll leave full and with a smile on my face after lunch (is there anything worse than leaving a restaurant dissatisfied?). And I found such a place in the Boccaporta tavern, which is located outside the city center, surrounded by greenery - and which is also one of the cult restaurants among the locals. Because, as far as I had the opportunity to see, the guests here are constantly changing and it's always crowded, so it was a real miracle that we managed to get a table without a reservation.

The knowledge passed down from generation to generation was complemented by the expertise of the family agronomists, and it was with such a diploma that Katarina returned from her studies in Zagreb three years ago and took over the management of the family OPG.

The double gate, also known as Porta Gemina, got its name because of the two semicircular openings that led into the city, and were built in the period from the 2nd to the 3rd century on the remains of an older city gate. The door was decorated with three half-columns with composite capitals, while above them a relief wreath connects the composition into a harmonious whole.
