Sightseeing
Located in Mt Buffalo National Park, this is a lovely, easy hike to a beautiful waterfall.
In the summer its a trickle and the pool is wonderful for swimming. In other months the waterfall is really flowing and looks stunning. Follow the trail up to Eurobin falls, the track is steep and has lots of stairs!

The hike in is lovely, and not too strenuous, with views through the valley and across to Mount Buffalo.
One of the best hikes in the area.
After the stunning drive up Mt Buffalo, you'll be surprised at how easy this hike is. The trail takes you up Some steps and around huge boulders to the lookout.
The views are phenomenal, taking in every mountain in the alpine range, on a clear day, even Mt Kosciusko.

Perfect summer swimming spot, but just as beautiful in winter. Theres a very nice gentle walk that goes around the whole lake, as well as a picnic area with a BBQ.

Fishing, Kayaking, Stand Up paddle boarding, or just taking in its beauty, Lake Buffalo is only a 10 minute drive from Nug, Nug, or about an hour bike ride. Surrounded by hills and peaks, this often glassy lake is a good spot for that perfect instagram shot.

Bright is a busy and vibrant spot. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops.
It's also home to some lovely walks, a favourite of ours being The Canyon Walk which follows the river and crosses many cute little footbridges.
The Bright Brewery is a firm favourite, for families also. There's plenty of space, live music, good food and good beer. This place is always buzzing.
You can hire bikes in Bright and ride either to Porepunkah along the rail trail, or to Wandiligong (highly recommend this ride). Both are reasonably easy rides.

Snow Chains
If heading up to one of the many mountains (including Mt Buffalo) in our region during winter or spring (and sometimes autumn), you must carry snow chains with you. These can be hired from Rays Ski Shop in Myrtleford.
