The National Zoo is a great half-day experience for all ages. Good range of native and exotic animals including giraffes, tigers and lions, and a great outdoor playground for children. Several cafes at different ends of the park along with plenty of spots for picnics and BBQs are provided. Not cheap but you do get a full zoo experience.
