Small local park on the Bronx River. Summers they have rowing from 1-6 pm on Saturdays with a guide. Once a month they have sailing (Check out Rock the Boat). There is a splash pad in the summer (water feature to cool off/run through the sprinklers). Picnic tables, places to sit, grill, etc.

The fried calamari is formidable, and so is the scungilli salad, but make sure the meal starts with baked clams, and take a hero home."
