Sightseeing

Beer is the nearest seaside and is a lovely traditional fishing village with a pebbly beach. The village has lots of pubs, restaurants, tea shops, galleries, boutiques etc. and is charming and unspoiled. The beach is lovely and has three cafe's serving cream teas, light lunches and snacks. There are mackerel fishing trips operating from the beach which are highly recommended - catch your supper!

One of my favorite days out with my dogs, is to park up at the clifftop car park in Beer and then follow the coast path along the stunning cliffs to Branscombe. Walk inland to the village and have a pint of Otter beer and a crab sandwich in the sunshine and then walk back. It takes about an hour each way but is very steep at either end so you need to be fairly fit!
