River Lark

The River Lark was once an important, navigable river used by the Romans for the carriage of clunch, a building material quarried from pits near Isleham, and stone for the building of Bury St Edmunds Abbey. Beginning near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, it flows through Bury, Mildenhall and Prickwillow, and joins the Great Ouse south of Littleport in Cambridgeshire. Emma Hamilton is moored on the River Lark and there are great walks along the riverbank right on your doorstep. The River Lark is well known for its excellent course fishing, and you can fish directly from the boat / decking. The river contains most species of fish including Carp, Chubb, Pike, Dace, Roach, Rudd, Tench, and Perch.
