Interesting places to visit while in Bol
This is a very interesting sight to see available only through a licensed tour guide. During this hiking tour, which lasts about 4 hours (the climb is approx one-hour long and not too steep), the tour guide explains the history of the cave but also the history of the island. You will learn a lot about history, culture, way of life and get a more profound impression of the place you have decided to visit.

Cómo moverse

A car is not essential for Bol - everything is near

Bol is a small town and you do not need a car if you plan to explore only Bol. You have plenty of fun activities, especially if your stay is not longer than a week. You can also easily rent a bike, it is all you might need during your stay since our apartment is located in the centre :-)

Ferry and catamaran

If you are travelling to Bol by car, you can take the ferry to reach the island of Brač. The ferries depart very often from the Split port and sail about 1 hour to Supetar, the biggest place on the island of Brač. It takes about 35 minutes to reach Bol from Supetar. If you are not coming by car, the catamaran is definitely a better option. It takes you directly to Bol port, which is situated about 400 m from our apartment. The ride takes about 1 hour. I would recommend buying the ticket online beforehand because they tend to be crowded.

Sports activites

Bol is mostly famous for its nature and pebbled beaches, as well as many sports activities. If you prefer surfing or diving, we recommend the Big blue sports centre (it is located in the middle of the shaded promenade that takes you to the Golden Horn beach). If you prefer tennis, Bol has a large tennis centre. You can also hike to the Vidova gora mountain, the highest peak of all Adriatic islands. The view is spectacular (we recommend going very early because it can be very hot in the middle of the day).

Beaches for children

Bol beaches are especially convenient for children - the pebbles are very gentle on their small feet and the pines provide shade. The sea is clean and most beaches also have showers. There are parks for children along the shaded promenade that takes you to the Golden Horn beach, as well as a large park for children and a trampoline at the beach.
