Mama G offers one of the most impressive selection of German and Austrian pastries I've seen - like being in Germany or Austria. Everything is homemade by Mama G daily. Savory items offered as well, along with coffee. Walkable from here - take the backroads through the neighborhood, then cross 41.

This is a frequent meeting spot for me and my pals. Great selection of wine, beer and FL-made hard seltzers that are to die for! Indoor and outdoor seating - combine it with a trip to Whole Foods, which is right across the street.

Museums and More!

The museum is walkable from the house - 10 minutes down Bayshore. The grounds are beautiful (even if you're not a museum person). The permanent collection is vast, there's an amazing glass collection, and there's a coffee shop and restaurant (The Grill Room), which is one of the most scenic spots in all of Sarasota. Mondays are free, and there is often films, live music and other special events. Check the events calendar here: https://www.ringling.org/events/calendar/day

Sunset Spots

This is the local spot for watching the sun set. 10 minute max walk. Throw the beach chairs on your back (in the garage), grab the cooler (in the closet) and pack a picnic. You'll meet many of our friendly neighbors there.

A great neighborhood spot to watch the sunset. There's a deck and a little beach where swimming is also possible. There's often a bubble machine going, adding some additional personality. It's a longer walk or a quick drive - take the chairs and the cooler and go! (Sun Circle is a bit closer).
