This place is our hands down fave for big boy Sammy’s! Kyle and his team make the best of what’s around with all local stuff. Just go look at their Instagram and you’ll be rushing over! Tell’m Kitch sent ya, they love that and might get you a few extra awesome fries. Expect a line but attached to the cutest garden market and petting of the goats at Carson’s. Pretty easy to burn an hour or 2 here.

It’s sandbanks little brother. Way less busy bit more of the country vibe than the very busy sandbanks. You’ll still need to call and check for day passes and reservations on busy weekends. We imagine if you’re coming here to go to the beach you want to go to Sam Banks but this is an option.

It’s the closest nice beach at 14km.
There’s Wellington beach but we don’t recommend it.
