Head to Bournemouth Bus Station, and jump on board the Purbeck Breezer (50). It takes you through Poole, Sandbanks, across on the ferry to Shell Bay and Studland, before winding across the Purbecks to Swanage. You can hop on and off anywhere along the way. Buses leave every half an hour. £9.50 return per adult, £5 return per child. If you stay on the bus, the whole journey to Swanage is around 70 minutes. Recommend a stop at Shell Bay, just after the ferry. Lovely restaurant on a gorgeous bay. Need to book to eat inside (pricey, but very popular) but you can enjoy a drink from the bar and some nibbles outside. Lovely spot!

Food scene

There some lovely places to eat in Boscombe. On the beach by the pier is a Harvester. Further along is Urban Reef, which does epic hot chocolates and pizzas. Within 5-10 minutes walk you can find some local restaurants. Visit the Little Pickle Deli for a cream tea. Boscanova for lovely homemade foods: the soup is delicious. There a number of vegan restaurants close by, along with any number of takeaways, including a few great Thai restaurants. Chaplin’s is a must do. Fantastic atmosphere, with live acts many nights of the week.
