A friendly, cosy bar with some seating outside too. A really nice pint of decent beer! They also do the most delicious burgers if you fancy a snack.

They have a lovely café here with the most amazing views, serve wonderful full English breakfasts - one of our favourites. It's about a 30 minute walk if you fancy working up an appetite (some nice hills to walk up!) or 5 minutes in the car. No need to book unless there is a large group of you.

The Magic Rock Tap is down in the centre of Holmfirth and a must to visit if you like a beer! It's set inside the old bank building and is full of character. They usually have about eight keg lines and four cask lines available so there is plenty of choice, they also do take outs if you fancy enjoying one back in your Almshouse garden !

They usually have about eight keg lines and four cask lines available so there is plenty of choice, they also do take outs if you fancy enjoying one back in your Almshouse garden !

Fabulous place!!! Vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, pizzas a speciality but lots of other delicious options. Not the cheapest but worth a visit if you can get a table as you will definitely need to book in advance! About a 30 minute walk down (and back up!) a steep hill, well away from the centre so no good if you fancy a bit of a pub crawl afterwards!
