With 260 stalls, the Albert Cuypmarkt is the largest day market in Europe. The market is a favorite among Amsterdam residents, tourists, students, day-trippers and entrepreneurs. It is full of stalls selling fresh produce, clothing, flowers, fabrics and, of course, typical Dutch delicacies, such as 'stroopwafels'. This market is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The Noordermarkt is a cozy and colorful market of international allure. Here you can eat one of the best 'appeltaarten' (apple pie) in the world! On Saturday mornings, local entrepreneurs will be ready at the organic market starting at 9 a.m. to provide the capital with fresh organic vegetables, fruits, bread, cheese, mushrooms, herbs, meat, fish, honey, flowers and other goodies. On both Monday mornings (09.00 - 13.00) and Saturdays (09.00 - 16.00), the offer at the Noordermarkt can be called unique. At no other market in Amsterdam will you find so many different products: antiques and curiosities, books and prints, special textiles, glass and crockery, jewelry of their own design, vintage clothing, paintings and graphics, bags of reused tent canvas and so on. Also open on Easter Monday and Whit Monday! On Saturday there are three markets, namely the Lindengracht market, the organic market and the market with antiques, brocante, clothing, small furniture and a unique offer of semi-precious stones, prints, jewelry, bags and more. Together the antiques and goods market on the other half of the square and the surrounding hospitality industry, where you can eat the best apple pie in Amsterdam, make for an (h)honest day out. There is also a general goods market on the Westerstraat on Monday mornings.
