To see: beautiful old market, ciudadela park for a crowded but fun picnic, the very most insta.gramable MOCO museum (the temporary exhibition by hiperrealist genius Guillermo Lorca is the best part), get lost around the narrow streets.

To see: exhibitions at CCCB art gallery, cocktail bars at Joaquim Costa and the best pizzas and kebabs in town.

Not ideal if you’re on a diet.

Due to our past and recent history, in Catalunya (the region in Spain where Barcelona is placed) there has been a strong pulse for independence so it can be a bit of a tense question or just an excessive long explanation that you might not be ready to hear :)
