We stayed at the Hyatt regency and there is an underground subway link directly between the buildings so no need to even cross a road to get to it. I'm glad I went, because rakugo is something that most tourists never get the chance to see, and this theatre has a great reputation. Not particularly large, I was lucky to get a ticket, despite getting in line a bit after nine; the floor seating filled and I had to sit on a pillow on the side gallery on the tatami. A little uncomfortable, but not too bad. A very funny performance, even though I had difficulty following parts of it. A very varied crowd, but all locals apart from myself. A good show for those who want to experience the cul
