Lots of green space with shade for picnics. Tennis courts are available if you brought rackets =) The beach is also great for swimming. Because the water is shallow for quite a distance, it warms up very nicely.

Very easy access to the beach - if you can find a parking spot (easier if you arrive early in the day), and this is also just across the street from a variety of restaurants. There is a bit more shade on the beach here than at Skaha Lake.

Great little hike with beautiful multi-level water fall at the end. Depending on the time of year, you may get your feet wet crossing the creek if you want to make it to the end.

This is a hard-packed, well-maintained old railroad bed along the east side of Okanagan Lake. Rent a bike and take a leisurely ride north, then turn around and drift down the 2% grade back into town! Make sure to check out the Trail Fruit and More Store at Davenport Ave if you go that far.
