A fabulous Jacobean plantation house in the northern parish of St Peter, with a small rum distillery. While visitors’ attention is rightly focused on the exquisite mansion, with its eclectic furnishings, and a short film on life in Barbados before the Second World War using fascinating footage from the current owners, the Warren family, there is the opportunity to taste some of the modern-era premium rums produced on site. Richard Seale, of Foursquare, has been heavily involved in guiding their development.

However, this relatively commercialised tourist operation offers a polished presentation on rum production, a brief guided tasting, the option of a buffet lunch, a well-stocked gift shop and cocktail workshops.
