Discover a private sanctuary in this classic east Austin artist's retreat. Wake up to peace and tranquility amid wood finishes in a space with a soaring custom cathedral ceiling, an upper level loft, a deck walkout, and a cozy outdoor swing bench. Energize for the day with a dip in the cold plunge and unravel for the night in the infrared sauna. We have an enhanced cleaning policy to ensure guest safety and peace of mind in the midst of uncertain times that includes: A top notch HEPA filter, spraying or wiping disinfectant on all surfaces and washing laundry with hot water and bleach. This is an eclectic and imaginative one bedroom cottage sanctuary with a front porch swing for watching east Austin mosey on by. Joyous comfort is to be had in the main bedroom with custom cathedral ceiling and tempurpedic bed. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you. City of Austin Operating License # 096563 This lot features a front house (all yours) and a back house that we stay at when we are in Austin. Please make yourself at home on the front and side porches but we ask that you give some privacy to the back yard immediately surrounding the back house. Thank you! I travel often but regularly stay in the back house on the property. I love getting to know guests and if our paths cross I look forward to talking with you. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

Our home and detached garage apartment offer the design and charm of a historic New Orleans style home with the luxuries and amenities of a home built in 2013. We are setup to accommodate business and leisure travelers, whether it be for a few days or a few weeks. Great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, groceries, and a gym are all within less than a mile in our walkable neighborhood...you'll come to understand why we feel like we live in a small town within our large and diverse city! Feel free to use our outdoor patio space and gas grill (please request permission in advance to ensure space will be available) We will leave you to enjoy your stay but are always available if you need some directions or recommendations. Tree-lined avenues and historic homes give the area a small town feel. Described as a destination for foodies, architecture buffs, and creative types, there is a glut of great restaurants nearby, and easy access to Downtown and the Energy Corridor. Located within 5 minutes of I-610, I-10, & I-45, you can get most places via car in urban Houston within 20 minutes. Use uber or park your vehicle in front of our home (off-street parking available). There is a great hike and bike trail 1 block from our home and the neighborhood is very walkable.

2400 sq ft stately, stand alone patio home. Enjoy a private driveway, 2 living spaces, eat in kitchen, formal dining, bedrooms (conveniently located on the same floor), in house laundry, and a covetted outdoor patio space to enjoy. 2nd living room has a full body reclining massage chair, large TV and access to the outdoor space. Home was recently designed and updated with all new furniture and decor. Offering a true gallery home experience, we currently are displaying several large paintings by local artist Rylie Caldwell. Her beautiful original paintings are sure to remind you of all the fabulous art you can find throughout the city and inspire you to get out and explore! Great for families, we have a fully stocked kitchen with coffee bar and even baby gates available upon request. Everything you need for your home away from home! Enjoy the whole house and outdoor space. I live just a couple of blocks away and am available for suggestions on the area and whatever else you may need. Located in Museum Park between downtown and the Medical Center, the neighborhood offers restaurants of all kinds, while nearby Hermann Park has a great running trail. Walk to the Light Rail and travel to the Theater District to take in a show. Walkable neighborhood, close to the light rail, and bike rental stations, with quick and easy access to all the highways.

If you love FIXER UPPER, the Barndominium is just for you!! Chip & Jo's VERY favorite project, horse barn to chic urban farmhouse, for your girls trip or family. Nestled on 16 acres w/ oak trees and a 25 acre spring-fed lake, the Barn is decorated just like it was on the show (we did add a 2-story 800 sq ft deck). The place dreams are made of as you sit back, in the very same furniture Joanne picked, while you enjoy watching that very episode! It's a truly magical experience & a must do!

We are a close distance to many wineries, breweries, and distilleries. The back yard has an amazing view of the hill country! Gatherings for events are an option but pre approval is required.
