Revamped Minimalist Stone Country House

Nestled on the foot of mount Giouchtas, in the picturesque village of Archanes, our stone countryhouse is located in one of the most central and beautiful parts of the area. Archanes are 20 minutes away from the centre of Heraklion(15km), 15 minutes away from Heraklion's International airport, 15 minutes away from the famous Minoan palace of Knossos, as well as 20 minutes away from numerous beautiful beaches. Situated in the center of the most important wine-producing region of Crete, it has a 5000 years old history, while excavations conducted in the last 50 years have brought to light a lot of sites dating back to the Minoan period. The village is also very famous for its typical Cretan architecture. Most of the houses have been restored recently and Archanes has won the second award as “the best restored village in Europe”. The house enjoys a spacious interior and a private garden, which is protected by a peripheral wall. This is a typical characteristic of old Cretan houses of the area. Guests enter the private garden through the gate which then leads to the main building. I am always at the disposal of my guests, so that I can make their holiday problem-free. My guests can reach me at my mobile phone, text me or send a message directly to my inbox. Archanes is 20 minutes away from the center of Heraklion and beaches. I always recommend to my guests a car hire, so that they can enjoy their holidays by visiting plenty of places each day. Furthermore, there is a free parking very close to the house. The country house is only 20’ away from the “Nikos Kazantzakis Airport” and the port. The archeological site of Knossos is 15’ away.

Stalis Drops

Stalis Drops is located in Stalis just 200 m from the nearest beach. Although situated in the heart of the town’s bustling hot spots, Stalis Drops offers peace and privacy. From the room's balcony, guest can enjoy a view to the garden and partially to the sea. There is a free public parking area just 10 meters from the property. Room is recently renovated, bright and spacious, with all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay (WiFi, air condition, espresso machine, kettle, fridge, safe etc).

You can literally hear the waves while sleeping. Very close to a vast selection of places to eat, drink and have a nice time. In the broader area, you can find the Cretan Aquarium, museums, and archeological sites but also great beaches either within walking distance or with a short car ride.

My studio, alongside its twin on the upper floor, is just a few seconds away from the beach, so you are going to sleep with the sound of the waves and the light sea breeze. Less than 1 minute walk to the main road where supermarkets, car rentals, souvenir shops, restaurants, and bars are located. Surrounded by other houses and hotels, it is quiet and cozy, but litteraly next to anything you might want in Stalis. *Hospitality tax (8€/day) is already included in the price.
