This is the second time that we have stayed with Donnie. The first time was in one of the cabooses. This time we stayed in The Depot. Both of these places were as described and pictured! I had good enough phone service that we did not miss having WiFi and there was cable for television. I had two children with me, an eight year old and a twelve year old, and they were both fine there! And we could look out the front door and see Buffalo Mountain. Because of Hurricane Helene damage, we did not get to go there but it was not for lack of trying! Sunday morning before we left, I got to see a deer in the pasture behind the depot! And some beautiful sunrises!

We wanted to do something unique & different for our anniversary & this did NOT disappoint. From the “main” road you can see the 3 red cabooses up on the hill & our hearts smiled. They recently had storms & we could see where the flood waters deteriorated the sides of the driveway but it was still wide enough for us to pass another small vehicle if needed. Office Check in was a breeze and took less than five mins before we were standing in our getaway train(caboose) which is on a real track! We were the only ones staying this weekend but if others were present, there was plenty of room. Our furbabies throughly enjoyed having a large field in front of the cabooses to run in. The views from the swings were breathtaking especially during the sunsets. Once Inside, we enjoyed the comforts of home (except for a stove). The hotness of the water & the relaxing hot tub added to our experience. Some things were dated but that is to come with the territory. We hope to visit again in the fall.

We loved everything about this property, but pretty much lived outside under the covered area! They have thought of everything for a relaxing and beautiful backyard entertainment plus a gorgeous home on the inside. Lots of space with the bedrooms and the bath also. We would definitely stay there again.

All I can say is wow! This home is the perfect vacation spot!! A ton of privacy, very clean and plenty of yard for your fur baby to run around! We saw so much wildlife which was really exciting! The blackstone griddle was perfect for cooking breakfast and dinners! Plenty of towels to enjoy many soaks in the hot tub and enough for showering. I will absolutely rent here again as it is perfect! About a 25 minute trip to Mt. Airy which has all of your restaurant and grocery needs. thank you Balager for sharing such a incredible getaway! We cannot wait to return!

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

The perfect place to stay during my quick trip to Winston Salem! It had everything that I needed to be comfortable for the weekend. The place was clean and quiet.

Really nice cozy home , very clean and accommodating. Our first time visiting the area and would highly recommend the home and location if it fits your needs. King size bed was an added bonus for us!

We felt so at home as soon as we walked through the door. It was so cozy and homey, and pristinely clean. The street the house is on is wooded and peaceful, so it really felt like a perfect cabin getaway. Susan and Jeff were super responsive and even went out of their way to offer us an early check-in even though we didn’t even request it. Would absolutely stay here again, highly recommend!

Loved the , big house, big kitchen, going to the winery right there was really cool and seeing all the grape vines (although they were brown due to being winter of course) had a nice area for kids and dogs too play. Had a fire pit and they had a bunch of camping chairs to use which was cool. Kitchen stocked with almost all the cookware you’d need. Great sta for a great price

My daughter and I loved our comfortable, quiet stay at Patricia's house. The kitchen is wonderful, and the backyard was in full bloom! We enjoyed beautiful walks around nearby Salem College area. The house is so well taken care of, and Patricia had a great notebook of resources and recommendations for anything we would possibly need. We'd love to stay here again!

Our kids had a great time! Very private location with no ongoing traffic. They played in the front of the cabin all day with no worries from us about vehicles. Great spot to getaway and relax with outdoor activities (fishing, hiking, doing smores).

We had a great stay at Dave's place, very dog-friendly! It was spacious and good for our one-night stay. Our dog had plenty of yard to do her business and sniff around. Due to Dave's clear directions, we had no problem finding the place in daylight. Our event was at night, but we could also find it upon coming back to the apartment. Dave was friendly and welcoming, helping us to feel right at home.

10/10 this place was awesome! It was comfortable, clean, it felt like home, extremely spacious, and accommodated all of us. Tawny was absolutely wonderful! Definitely couldn’t have asked for a better host. This was our first time EVER using Airbnb so we weren’t sure what to expect. Tawny did an excellent job at making sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond. She is absolutely amazing! Definitely plan on staying again!
