Wallington Hall is now owned by the National Trust but was previously the country estate of the Trevelyan family. West Grange Hall was formally part of the estate and served as both the 'second house' and briefly as the Land Agents residence. It is the only major property in private hands and not gifted to the National Trust.

National Trust site with nice walks, plenty of stuff for kids to do, interesting old house.
