Rathwood is an award-winning family run department store and restaurant. An animal park, forest walks, train rides and a children’s playground are some of the exciting and different activities that visitors can avail of when they visit Rathwood. The Maze of Ireland consists of 2500 beech hedging woven together in the shape of Ireland and covers 1.2 acres. (less than 5 minutes)

Rathwood is a 20 minute drive from the Laurels and is well worth a visit. You will find two restaurants on site, an indoor play centre, a mini fairground with rides and the famous Rathwood Train. You will also find everything from clothing and toys to garden furniture. Rathwood host multiple events throughout the year from their teddy bears picnic to magic shows in the Big Top.
