10 minutes drive. Beautiful fishing village with amazing pubs. The Blue Peter is a must for food and a pint of Scrumpy Jack Cider. The fish platter at the 3 Pilchards is fantastic. Local events include the water carnival, fireworks night and the Christmas lights switch on. Note: parking on the main car park may be pricey. Alternative free parking can be found at times next to the school - from which you can walk down into the village via the coastal path.

This hilly seaside village is one of the prettiest in the region. With the tiny fisherman’s cottages clinging to the hills, it’s as picturesque as you can imagine. Spend a lazy afternoon (or longer) wandering through the village and making sure to stop at all the little Polperro Gallery and The Ship Inn for a pint. Just like Robin Hood’s Bay in Yorkshire, it was a smuggler village, where lots of contraband brandy and sherry would be brought in at the dead of night. Don’t forget to stop off at Michelle’s Restaurant for some tasty British grub.

A picturesque working fishing village with a small sandy beach beyond the harbour wall. There's a tidal pool below the cliffs. The Looe to Polperro walk is just over 5 miles and offers stunning views all the way.
