(Park at the end of Farrell Road, walk along the levy, it's public access, dip into the wash-basin to the mountain, you see the trails on the mountain and horseback riders). My husband and I do a loop that starts at the levy, walk the wash, to Earl Henderson, up to Shannon Trail (where you can see Bob Hope's Estate Home from an amazing side-view). Turn west at Berns Trail to Garstin Trail (again, keep going West on Garstin). You end up at the wash and can catch back up with the end of Earl Henderson Trail....walk back east on Earl Henderson Trail. Amazing views, STEEP hike but worth it. You may spot some bighorn sheep up there. Probably 5 miles round trip.
