With Arts North’s 20+ artisans based throughout Cape Breton, it’s not surprising that an environmental theme runs through the collection of work retailed in the gallery. Pottery with whale, shorebird, moose and marine figures, hooked mats depicting mountain-to-ocean scenes from the northern tip of the island, jewellery combining silver and driftwood or beach glass, floor cloths and quilts with floral or wildlife designs, framed wildflower prints… all grace the walls. shelves and floors of the gallery’s post and beam interior space. As a service to visitors, items purchased at Arts North may be shipped home, as worldwide shipping is offered. A selection of items may be seen at www.arts-north.com Gallery hours are 9-6 daily, June through October. Visa, Mastercard and Debit are accepted.
