Three glorious miles of sand and steeply shelving shingle running east from the historic harbour. When the tide is out, you can walk along to Loe Bar and the Penrose Estate from the granite pier of the harbour, accessed from the village. But please take note of the tides! Bathing is not advised as there are strong undercurrents here. Surfing, although popular, is only recommended to experienced surfers. (TR13 9EH)

Within a ten minute drive of Helston, Porthleven has three miles of golden sandy beach to enjoy. It is also a popular spot with surfing enthusiasts.

Here is our local beach which is within walking distance from Coral Cottage. A sandy beach beyond the harbour wall that stretches all the way to Loe Bar at low tide. Swimming is popular in Porthleven but risky at Low tide when the sea is rough. RNLI lifeguard cover daily from July to September Local Beaches nearly by are; Rinsey Cove, Dollar Cove, Gunwalloe Beach, Praa Sands Beach, Poldhu Cove, Pollurrian Cove, Keneggy Sands Beach, Mullion Cove, Prussia Cove.

Our local beach, it is accessed by the slip or the 'Blue Bouy Steps'. There is a dog ban from 1st July - 31st August on the area by the clock tower however dog friendly all year from steps onwards.
