Cool spot for a different kind of adventure. History, graffiti and the great outdoors combined. Bring a flashlight if you’re brave enough to creep around in the tunnels! If you have kids with you, be sure to check out the Jamestown Playground before you leave!
One of my personal favorites! Fort Wetherill is a unique park, combining the mysteries of an old fort with the beauty of one of Rhode Island's most dramatic landscapes. Don't forget your jacket!
Known for its spectacular views of Newport Harbor and the East Passage of Narragansett Bay, Fort Wetherill is a former coastal defense battery and training camp. It's coves are a major attraction for scuba diving, and the grounds offer great spots for picnicking, fishing, hiking and exploring.
