Kainchi Dham is a Hanuman temple & Ashram which is established by a great saint Neem Karoli Baba in 1960s. It's a holy temple surrounded by hills and trees and river flowing besides it. You can feel the great strengths and presence of Hanuman Ji in the Ashram. This place has achieved recognition owing to the ashram of the famous Neem Karoli Baba. The scenic location adds to the beauty of the place. It is located in between two hills that cut and cross each other to create a shape of scissor. That's why this place is called as "Kainchi Dham". On September 10, 1973 baba got Samadhi in Virandhawan. In 70s, Steve Jobs once visited and meditated in this temple and Mark Zuckerberg also visited this place. On 15th June every year a fair is organized by ashram which is famous among locals and tourists.

A pristine temple, located in the midst of a stunning valley, by the banks of a beautiful stream. The temple is dedicated to the renowned saint Shri Neeb Karori Baba and the serene peaceful ambience there attracts many spiritually inclined visitors. On the Nainital to Almora Road ,9 km from Bhowali and 17 km from Nainital is the popular pilgrimage centre Kainchi Dham , a Hanuman Temple and ashram founded by the sage Neem Karoli Baba ,1962 . It is located between two hills that cut and cross each other to create the shape of a pair of scissors( scissors in Hindi is Kainchi). The place gained more recognition owing to a visit by Apple Founder Steve Jobs,and the founder and CEO of Facebook ,Mark Zuckerberg. There is a cave near the Kainchi temple, which is said to be the place where Baba Neem Karoli used to meditate and pray.

The famous Temple and Ashram of Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj, is located at a picturesque valley and offers the spiritual and mental peace we all often seek for. The temple is open to one and all, and it's premises always sparkling clean. A must visit day - trip from Nainital. You will certainly not regret visiting this holy place.

A divine place where if you believe your wishes come true, It happened to me as well. Specially for the spiritually inclined and a place where ICONS like Julia Roberts, Mark Zuckerberg etc have stayed.
