The Blowing Rock (One Of Western North Carolina’s Oldest And Most Interesting Attractions) The Blowing Rock is pet friendly, however only dogs controlled on leashes will be allowed on property and they must be friendly with children, cats and other dogs. The owner will be held accountable for any negative issues.

The Blowing Rock, North Carolina's oldest travel attraction since 1933, is an immense cliff 4,000 feet above sea level overhanging Johns River Gorge 3,000 feet below. Beautiful short scenic walk with a garden waterfall, gardens, observation tower and unique gift shops. Open daily March - December and open weekends January - February, weather permitting.
