Where the Manatee River meets the Gulf of Mexico, the Emerson Point Preserve protects one of the oldest temple mounds in Florida. Numerous trails and an observation tower offer great views of a wide variety of coastal Florida habitats, as well as, ancient and historic remains.

Outstanding hiking, biking, birding, kayaking, fishing. Best Park in Manatee County. Incredible views of the Manatee River where it connects to Tampa Bay. View of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, Anna Maria Island, Egmont Key. Tons of Native Birds, Turtles, Fish. There is swimming at several spots here. Be sure to Stop at the front left parking area and go in that area to get a map. Tons to do here. You won't regret it.
