This sweet little loop trail is the best quick nature fix around. Hike it and feel like you own it, as you probably won't run into anyone else. The trailhead off Lake Ann Road is the best place to start. Hike along Ransom Creek, then pause on the bridge before circling Ransom Lake. There's also a fun side trail that leads to property on Bellows Lake owned by Eastern Michigan University. They seem not to mind trespassers, and there are some fun stone sculptures along this creekside section of the trail. Reward yourself with a beer on the patio at Lake Ann Brewing.

Great hiking trails just down the road. It takes you along the river and can hike along the lake. Can access off of Lake Ann Road.

Just south of the village on Lake Ann road. A nice accessible trail along the creek and then a more rugged loop around the lake. Beautiful hike, our second local go to.
