Beautiful, well-maintained hiking trail to the top of Elk Knob with magnificent views. We were there on a clear day and could see mountains further away than those depicted on signs at the two viewing areas on top -- more than 60 miles!

Elk Knob Trails *The primary trail is the Summit which is a moderate 3.8 mile out and back trail. Worth it for the view at the top! Well kept trail and beautiful grounds. *Beach Tree trail is a mile long and easy. *Backcountry Trail is an out and back nearly 4 mile trail. Considered moderate

Elk Knob State Park features one of the highest peaks in North Carolina’s high country at 5,520 feet and one of the parks system’s finest trails to the spectacular views from the summit. And the best part, it's only a short ten minute drive from our property.

Hiking and views! Our farm is looking up at the state park. It is under a 10 minute drive to the entrance of the park.
